Just saw a glimpse of the little 500. (in a shot with the Lexus SF)

You can zoom in for a larger screen (right click, zoom, 200%). Makes it easier to see Jethro’s endeavours.

90 minutes in and Dickie is in 44th position in the Aston N24, whilst Jethro is in 188th in the Fiat 500. Ahead of the Lexus LF-A..

The 500 is up to 183th, while Aston nr.7 (Dickie’s) is 27th and in the pits for (let ’s hope) a regular pitstop…
Go boys!

16 hours past and Richard’s Aston is 22nd overall directly behind the sister No.8 car, whilst Jethro’s Fiat 500 is down in 185th still in the race.
Fastest lap for the No.7 Aston is a 9:43, and a 12:16 for the Fiat 500 – which compares to the 8:39 of the race leader in the No.1 car

“Kermit” in trouble! No…
Fiat 170th.

It’s a bit worse than a puncture. Another driver hit Chris Porritt and it looks like the track rod end is broken.
They were on for a class win, but now they’ll loose a load of time. Will update when it is sorted.

Congratulations everyone.
Surely a fabulous experience, no matter the result.
Can’t wait for another superb article on the Nurburgring 24h
(Still remember the one Richard wrote for EVO)

I spoke with Richard an hour ago and he was very dissapointed to loose the class win, but its a great achievement for all those who completed the race and a top 30 finish is not to be sniffed at.
Let’s not forget Jethro either, we all had reservations about competing in a Fiat 500 and he recieved plenty of stick in the office, but I’m sure it was twice as difficult being lapped whilst also competing in his own class.

Aston 27th, 500 147th!
Well done.

The first of our race side reports are now up, from no less than our resident Art Director, Neil Carey.
Neil’s pictures capture some of the great atmosphere at the N24.
