Video of Petter Solberg’s embarassing moment
The place – last week’s Bettega Memorial Rallysprint in Bologna, Italy. The driver – Petter Solberg, 2003 WRC champion as he performed a parade lap for the crowd. But it looks like he got a little carried away with the moment and decided to demonstrate his stunt driving skills too..
We’re glad he came away from this incident unhurt, so let’s hope we see Petter back ‘inside’ a WRC car in the near future.
BMW X5 M official video released
BMW have released a promotional video of the X5 M providing official confirmation of the next models to be launched by M GmbH.
We’ve already seen spy-pictures of a pre-production X6 M and German magazine AutoBild were invited last week to drive the X6 M at the Nurburgring, so production isn’t far away.
Extreme SLR breaks cover

Official pictures of BMW’s new E89 Z4
More images were leaked yesterday (above) of BMW’s forthcoming new Z4, only to be outdone a few hours later by BMW’s official press images.

Its virtues are many, from its lightness of touch to the precision of its controls, but one thing we’ve never felt compelled to praise the X-Bow for is its comfort in cold weather.

An interesting press release came out from BMW this morning that had a few of us scratching our heads.
While other car companies around the world are reporting dire trading conditions BMW M GmbH is reporting sales of 22,340 vehicles worldwide as of November 2008. Whilst the quoted sales volume may not grab your attention, the [...]
V10 power for Audi R8
The Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro has many numbers to whet the appetite, but one of them jumps from the spec sheet more forcefully than the rest. It’s not the headline 525bhp, nor the torque peak of 391lb ft. It’s top speed of 196mph is pretty impressive, so too it’s 0-62mph time of just 3.9-seconds [...]
Arash AF10 to be developed by Loris Bicocchi
Credibility. Essential if a fledging supercar manufacturer is to survive, but not easy to come by. Pagani is perhaps the exception to the rule – such was the quality of the original Zonda C12 and the dynamic polish lavished upon it that Pagani very quickly joined the establishment. Of course it helped that the Zonda [...]
